About the event
“This is empowering, knowing I can make a change in my life” ~ Upma Sharma
Do you constantly question your parenting skills or wonder if you're really cut out for this? Do you want to break the cycle of harsh parenting in your family?
Imagine... being your true loving self with your baby instead of stressing about whether you're "doing it right."
Imagine... meeting your children's needs met without having to sacrifice your personal health to make it happen.
Imagine... neither of you ever having to be “The Enforcer” or “Bad Cop.” No more threatening or manipulating just to get shoes on.
Imagine... building a strong relationship with your child right from the start, based on trust and influence, not power.
Imagine... not feeling like it’s your job to fix everything...All. The. Time.
Imagine... enjoying consistent, willing cooperation from your toddler and never saying, "Because I said so," again!
It's possible. Mindful Parenting provides evidence-based tools to help you reduce your stress levels, set healthy boundaries, and learn to communicate lovingly and effectively with your young children and partner.

What Will I Learn in the Mindful Parenting Course?
This in-person 8-week course is designed to help parents develop mindfulness skills to navigate the ups and downs of parenting with grace and compassion. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and practical exercises, you'll learn effective strategies to reduce stress, enhance communication, and cultivate a deeper connection with your child. Your experienced instructor will guide you on this journey towards becoming a more present and mindful parent.
What Is Mindful Parenting?
Parenting is fundamentally about how we respond to our children in each moment. It is the process of intentionally bringing awareness and compassion to each moment and cultivating loving speech and deep listening to promote better relationships in the family. This course is centered around tools to support you in two main areas of focus:
- Mindfulness and stress reduction to help you remain calm and less reactive
- Skillful communication to practice loving and effective speech in a way your infant (yes, even infants) or toddler can hear you – works with your partner, too!

With tools to support both myself and my son through difficult moments, our relationship is flourishing. And when I make mistakes, I have tools from this program to forgive myself and make a repair that teaches my son that it's okay to be imperfect and trying to do better." ~ Janice Solasteas
