What Is Mindful Parenting?

Parenting is fundamentally about how we respond to our children in each moment. It is the process of intentionally bringing awareness and compassion to each moment and cultivating loving speech and deep listening to promote better relationships in the family. Our practice group sessions are centered around tools to support you in two main areas of focus:

  1. Mindfulness and stress reduction to help us remain calm and less reactive
  2. Skillful communication to practice loving and effective speech in a way our toddlers (and partners!) can hear us

“My daughters seem happier, they are better listeners, they are more loving.” ~ Lauren Doyle

"I am not a perfect parent, and I don't expect you to be one either. I am practicing the Mindful Parenting method and improving my skills every day. With tools to support both myself and my son through difficult moments, our relationship is flourishing. And when I make mistakes, I have tools from this program to forgive myself and make a repair that teaches my son that it's okay to be imperfect and trying to do better." ~ Janice Solasteas

The Mindful Parenting framework was developed by Hunter Clarke-Fields, MSAE. The Mindful Parenting Practice Group is being led by Janice Solasteas, Owner of Sol Success, and Certified Mindful Parenting Teacher.
